Freelancers set their own rates on the FreeUp marketplace.

Once you submit a request, you will be introduced to 1 to 6 applicants via email and through the Messenger System, along with their hourly rate for the project. You will also receive their pitches via email and through chat.

We normally send people with an hourly rate as a default, unless you requested fixed price upfront.

That rate includes FreeUp fees of 20% with a $3.00 minimum.

Working on a Fixed Rate

If you prefer a fixed price, you can discuss that directly with the freelancer. Normally, if you want a fixed price, we will introduce you to the freelancer without a rate so they can get information and give you an accurate quote.

If you are interested in negotiating a freelancer's rate, you may submit an offer to the FreeUp Marketplace using the "Negotiate Rate" button within your account or email your proposal to support@freeup.net.

The new proposed rate will be communicated to the freelancer, but it is ultimately up to the freelancer whether they will accept the lower rate or not. If not, you may select to be introduced to another freelancer from the marketplace that fits better within your desired price range.

Ballpark rates for all available skill sets are always available through the Pricing page on the FreeUp website.

If you have any specific questions about the skills and estimated rates, please contact support@freeup.net or start a chat with the Live Chat feature.
